About the Role

As a Financial Accountant at inomed's UK subsidiary, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate and timely financial information. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and German GAAP (HGB)
Generate financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting requirements.

General Ledger Management:

Oversee the general ledger and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Daily booking of bank accounts
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Intercompany reconciliation
Monitor and analyse financial transactions, identifying discrepancies and addressing issues promptly.

Tax Compliance:

Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with UK tax regulations.
Prepare and submit VAT returns and other relevant tax filings.
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the company.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts in coordination with department heads.
Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted expectations, providing variance analysis.

Audit Support:

Facilitate and coordinate external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Address audit findings and implement improvements to internal controls as needed.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with colleagues in finance, operations, sales and other departments to gather and analyse financial data.
Provide financial insights to support decision-making and business strategy.
Support or lead projects as required

Interfaces

Finance, HR, Operations and Other Departments in the Headquarter in Germany

Professional requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
3+ years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a multinational environment.
Strong understanding of UK GAAP
Understanding of German GAAP (HGB) is a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft ERP system Navision BC or F&O
Proficiency Power BI and Microsoft standard Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).

Excellent analytical, process, communication, and interpersonal skills.
